Christophe De Korver joins Astre to lead the growth and expansion of its network.
Astre Group has appointed Christophe de Korver as Network Director, whose role will be key to consolidating and expanding the European network of the transport and logistics cooperative.
Christophe de Korver joined Astre in 2021 with the aim of developing the group’s European network, which currently has 160 members:
“I joined the Astre network department with the ambition of achieving the same level of development in each country where the Group is present as in France, its country of origin.”
To do this, he will oversee the implementation of all the tools Astre has at its disposal to make them more competitive, so that all partners throughout Europe have the same digital, purchasing and supply, human resources or sales systems.
In addition, he will be responsible for the recruitment and selection of new members and will be in charge of coordinating and fostering cooperation and collaboration between them, not only on a national level, but also between different countries. To this end, Christophe leads a team of four facilitators in charge of the different key regions of the association who coordinate and implement the agreed strategic plans and analyse the results.
A strong European profile
Christophe de Korver is a logistics and transport professional with extensive international experience. Indeed, throughout his career, he has worked in various European countries, which leads him to define himself as “European”. Among the milestones of his career are the general management of the Gefco group’s subsidiaries in the Czech Republic and Romania, as well as the management of Deutsche Bahn’s operations in France and, more recently, the management of the Romanian subsidiary of FM logistic.
The new Astre Network Director has a strong background in third party service providers and a strong European profile, bringing with him extensive knowledge of logistics and transport, as well as a strong European view of the sector.
