Astre Europe: the Group’s new organisation
At Astre’s General Meetings on 26 June 2024, shareholders voted to reorganise the Group’s entities with a view to accelerating its development throughout Europe.
A look back at Groupement Astre’s first Technical and Mechanical Congress
Astre recently held its very first Technical and Mechanical Congress at the legendary 24-hour Le Mans circuit. This ground-breaking event brought together over 240 participants, including members and 44 partner companies, for two days rich in discovery, exchange and innovation.
An emblematic venue for a unique congress
The opening evening was held in an exceptional setting at the Porsche Experience Center. The conference kicked off with Bruno Vandestick, the voice of the 24h of Le Mans, passionately sharing the history and innovations of the circuit and its legends. And for total immersion in the heart of motorsport, participants enjoyed the enthusiasm of bubbly sports journalist Maxine Eouzan (and former Koh-Lanta winner), who hosted the event with infectious energy.

Over 800 meetings were organized, enabling participants to discover the very latest technological advances in transport and logistics. Among the innovations on show:

Battery chargers for electric trucks, used to recharge vehicles on the track.
Biofuel and electricity solutions, with demonstrations of fast chargers.
Immersive experiences such as virtual reality and driving simulators, to test new technologies in real-life conditions.
Electric vehicle trials were a highlight, with the participation of our partners: Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Volvo Trucks, Renault Trucks, DAF Trucks France, MAN Truck & Bus France et JAC Motors SA. At the same time, the teams Janiec, Robineau, James Compétition and Buggyra offered first drives in biofuel-powered vehicles.
To round off the congress, participants took up a creative challenge with the “Pimp My Truck” activity. In teams, they built Truck Boxes from recycled materials, followed by a crash test that left a lasting impression.

The carrier of the year 2023
On March 27th, Astre was present at the 35th carrier’s trophy ceremony in a “MAGICAL” place, the Parc des Princes, with more than 350 guests.
The programme included a private tour of the stadium, a cocktail party and, of course, the awards ceremony, with in particular the nomination of Transports Barbero, a member of the Astre Group, for the Carrier of the Year award.
